Pecan Pie Bars

Hello Everyone!

As promised, I am going to give you the recipe for Pecan Pie Bars.  These are so yummy!  I know this because I don't like pecans.  I don't hate them but I don't like them.  I don't like pecan pie, pecans in banana bread, cookies, on top of ice cream, nothing.  But, I do love these Pecan Pie Bars.  Why?  You ask.  I really don't know.  You'll just have to try these and see if you can figure it out. I think it probably has to do with the toffee bits.  Here is the recipe and pics of the process.

2 CUPS FLOUR
½ CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 CUP BUTTER

COMBINE FLOUR AND SUGAR.  CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL ALL ARE IN FINE PARTICLES
PRESS INTO 9 X 13 PAN
BAKE AT 350 FOR 15 MINS

1 14oz CAN EAGLE BRAND SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
1 EGG
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
1 CUP PECANS COARSLY CHOPPED
1 PKG. BRICKLE CHIPS (BITS O’ BRICKLE)

BEAT EAGLE BRAND MILK, EGG & VANILLA.  STIR IN BRICKLE CHIPS AND PECANS.

SPREAD OVER CRUST
BAKE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 25 MINS OR UNTIL GOLDEN
COOL
CHILL AND CUT INTO BARS
STORE IN REFRIDGERATOR

Even though there is a lot of butter in the crust, I still spray my dish before putting the crust in to bake.  It makes it easier to get out where the topping gets on the side of the dish.  Boy, these are good.  It just makes me want to go and makes some.  But then that would make me want to eat some all of them.  Not a good thing.  I'm scared to know how many calories on in these things.  That's not to discourage you from giving them a try though.  Maybe you have more willpower than I do.  So give em a try, let me know what you think and let me know if you do or don't have the willpower when it comes to these bars!  So until next time...

Have a blessed day,

maggie jane
