Giveaway Time!!!!
Hello Everyone!
It's giveaway time! I was finally able to finish all my projects that I wanted to share with you. One lucky winner will be able to choose from one of the following items.
It's giveaway time! I was finally able to finish all my projects that I wanted to share with you. One lucky winner will be able to choose from one of the following items.
The fabric covered mouse pad. This mouse pad has a cork bottom covered in this colorful fabric. I made one for my SIL and she loved it. She said it was the best mouse pad she's ever used. She is a bit of a computer guru so I was happy to make it for her. If you've been having difficulty finding a mouse pad that you really like, maybe you can try this out. Or....
You might like to have a linen toss pillow. This pillow is filled with bamboo batting so it is extra cuddly. It has a linen flower accent with buttons. The flower is on a pin so it can be "borrowed" to go with an outfit that needs a little something extra. Think of it as a multi-purpose item. :) Here is a close-up of the pin.
Next up you might like one of these colorful birds. Birds seem to be the thing these days and I've made several in different colors to give your decor that added little "pop" of color. The wings have all been painted white and then glazed with a black glaze. If a bird is what you want as a prize, you just let me know what color.
Here is a close-up of one of them so you can see the detail in the wings.
Or you may want a shabby chic chalk board. This is one of those old metal frames that has been painted a creamy off-white. This can be stood up alone or put on an easel. I made one for my niece's birthday and she loved it!
A little close-up shot of the corner of the frame:
And last but not least is a shelf jewelry holder. At least that was my intention when I made it but you are welcome to use it any way you would like.
This has been painted white with stressed edges and brown glaze. The knobs are all different for added interest. I will now show close-ups of each knob.
So there you have it. A lot to choose from. So now let me tell you all the ways to enter.
1. Be a follower. If you already are than great! All you have to do is leave a comment letting me know that you are a follower.
2. Tell which of these items you like the most or would like to have if you are the winner. Do this in a separate comment.
3. Blog about this giveaway and leave me a comment with a link so I can check it out.
That's 3 ways to enter therefore 3 chances to win. Sound fun? Well then get busy and let the comments flow. This giveaway will end Sunday, March 20, 2011 at midnight. I will announce the winner Monday morning. Thanks in advance for your participation and have a great weekend!! So until next time...

Someone Else is Having a Giveaway
Hey Everybody!
There just seem to be so many places to go to win things. If you are interested in checking out more giveaways this week, go to Frugal with a Flourish and check out her giveaway. She is putting up a $60 gift code to CSN.
Don't forget mine at the end of the week. Some people are just more organized than I am. (smile) But hey, this is just my first. Maybe someday I'll be like Jess and actually have everything ready before I announce that I'm having a giveaway. So go check out her blog. She has a lot of neat DIY ideas and other home decor fun. So until next time...

Wow! 10 Followers
Hello Everyone!
I asked and you all answered! I now have 10 followers so you know what that means? Giveaway time. I can't show you all the choices as of yet since I don't have them all done. (Ooops) I really didn't think you all would jump on the bandwagon so soon and give me the 10 followers. I thought I had at least a couple more days. So, I'm going to have to just put you all off a little longer (mean, I know) and do this giveaway at the end of the week. I have a big town day and school today, so nothing is going to get done on giveaway stuff. However, the hubby and kids are going fishing tomorrow after work and it's supposed to be in the 70's. Guess what I'm going to be doing? Yep, you guessed it. Spray painting!! I do have two things done and I will probably have a total of at least 4 maybe 5 things. So really truly, check back on Friday. I will run the giveaway through the weekend and probably end it on Sunday night at midnight with the winner announced on Monday. Man I wish I didn't have to go to town today! I'm in the mood to paint! So until next time...

Company, New Babies & Upcoming Giveaway
Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was extremely busy. We had company come in from out of town on Friday night (really Sat. morning) and they just left this morning to head home. We have some friends that live in Texas that have a very large motor home. They have made several trips here to MO bringing a group of teenagers and sometimes young couples for a visit. They usually make a long weekend out of it and we fill it with lots of events. Friday night we had other company for dinner before the motor home made it here. Then Sat. we had about 43 people to our home for a hamburger cookout, basketball, Frisbee football and other games. Sunday was a full day with a Christian meeting in the morning followed by lunch and then a skate night at the local roller rink in the evening. Monday night we also got together with these same friends for a Pizza & Salad Dinner. Then this morning, they loaded up and headed back to Texas. We had a great time of fellowship and fun times with them. In the midst of all this, my daughter had a piano recital and my niece had a baby. My niece and nephew, along with her parents, were the company we had for dinner on Friday while waiting for the out-of-town company to arrive. They left our house at around 11:30 pm to take their other little ones home to bed. She went into labor and had her baby by 1:30 am. She was not in labor when they left our house. That tells you what a fast labor and delivery she had. Fortunately, she was already planning on having it at home because I don't think she would have made it to the hospital. She and baby are doing great. If you have read my previous posts, you know that we have/had 3 moms-to-be due in the last month. This birth was the second so we only have one more to go. She has another week and a half until her due date but you just never know when these babies want to make their appearances. We are so thankful to the Lord for his blessings and protection for the moms and babies. The first two births have been fairly easy and the babies healthy. We pray for the same for the next one and can't wait to see if it is a boy or a girl. The first two have been boys so we are hoping for a girl on this one. :) But really, as long as it is healthy we really don't care. I would love to show you pictures but due to privacy for these families, I don't feel at liberty to do that. Maybe if I get permission I will be able to share one at a later time. Those of you who know me personally and these families personally will be able to see pictures on my Picasa album. If you have not received an invitation and would like one, email me and I'll see that you get one. Now let's see, I've covered the company we had, the new babies, oh yes, now the giveaway. I am going to have a giveaway soon. I can't give you a specific date because I am not going to have it until I have at least 10 followers. I am at 8 now so if you want this giveaway to hurry up and happen, let your friends and family know so they can sign up to follow. Once I see that 10 people are following, I will set a time for the giveaway. There will be several items to choose from if you are the winner so keep checking back for updates. When I post the official giveaway announcement, I will tell you everything you can do to increase your chances of winning. I'm getting excited just thinking about it! Maybe it will be this week. So until next time...

Polka Dot Baby Quilt
Hello Everyone!
I was finally able to give my baby gift to the new momma on Sunday. She really liked it so that was a relief to me. Do any of you out there ever get that feeling, "Oh, I hope they like this!" when you give someone a gift you have made? I do. I was pretty sure she would like it but I was still a little apprehensive. So, you're saying, "Show us already!" Ok, here it is. Drum roll, please!

A polka dotted large log cabin quilt. (I'm still learning the names to all these quilting patterns so I had to show off my know how. Heh, Heh. This pattern is called a log cabin.)
A little closer up
So there you have it. Now we have another baby due this week (yesterday, in fact). That makes three babies within a month. We are hoping this next one is a girl. I've some darling girl fabric just itching to make it's way into a quilt. Once these are done, I will probably either make a throw quilt for my daughter or one for my son's bed. I keep putting off my son's quilt because it will be the biggest I've ever made and I'm a little nervous to give it a try. Maybe if I'm really sweet my sister will let me come visit and use her quilting machine to quilt it. Mine is just a normal sewing machine and it gets a little cumbersome trying to quilt anything too big. So, Sis, how about it? Please, maybe, sometime?
So until next time...
