My Memories Suite Giveaway!

Hello Everyone!

Have I got a deal for you today!  I was recently contacted by a representative from My Memories Suite to test out their product.  Not only did they want to give me the software for free but they also want to give one of my readers the software for free.  Is that not great or what?  That's not all.  They also want to give you a coupon for $10 to their online store.  So generous.  Anyway, let me tell you a little about digital software.  I have only tried a couple of things so I'm not expert yet but it was really cool and easy.  All you need is some pictures and you can add them to all kinds of templates.  You can add embelishments, interactive videos and music.  You can make scrapbooks, cards, pictures to frame and so much more.  It is even easy enough for a child to do.  If you go to their videos on youtube you can see how a girl did a report for school using the My Memories software.  There are a lot of templates that come with the program or you can download more from their website.  There are many free ones or some you can purchase for a nominal fee.  That is where your coupon will come in handy.  Here is a sample of a few pages I did of my daughter.  These were literally put together in about 5-10 minutes.  I really didn't put a whole lot of thought into this because I was just doing it as a sample.  However, I think they turned out pretty cute! (Even if her red outfit clashes with the pink templates.)  ;)

As you can see in the third picture down, I added my own text.  You can just do so many things.
Now wouldn't this be easier than getting out all the paper, paper cutter, ribbons, glue, pens, stamps, etc., etc.  So much cheaper too!  One great thing about this program, that I learned by watching their youtube video, is that you can burn discs of your projects.  That way, you can make one master and then share with whoever you like.  Think of grandparents and sharing the new baby, or the wedding album that you want to share with your friends and family.  Really, the possibilities are unlimited.

I'm a Winner!

Hello Everyone!

I have only entered a few giveaways in blogland.  I usually don't have very good luck in winning things so I don't try very hard.  However, I just couldn't pass up the chance to give it a try when I saw the giveaway that Karen at Sew Many Ways was having on her blog a few weeks ago.  And guess what?  I Won! She was doing a giveaway from Kate at The Adopt Shoppe.  She and her family are trying to raise money for their adoption.  I think adoption is a wonderful thing.  I have many friends who have either been adopted or have and are adopting.  Here are a few of my favorite things in her store.  She has so many cute things; it is hard to choose.

Giveaway Time!!!!

Hello Everyone!

It's giveaway time!  I was finally able to finish all my projects that I wanted to share with you.  One lucky winner will be able to choose from one of the following items.

The fabric covered mouse pad.  This mouse pad has a cork bottom covered in this colorful fabric.  I made one for my SIL and she loved it.  She said it was the best mouse pad she's ever used.  She is a bit of a computer guru so I was happy to make it for her.  If you've been having difficulty finding a mouse pad that you really like, maybe you can try this out. Or....

You might like to have a linen toss pillow.  This pillow is filled with bamboo batting so it is extra cuddly.  It has a linen flower accent with buttons.  The flower is on a pin so it can be "borrowed" to go with an outfit that needs a little something extra.  Think of it as a multi-purpose item. :)  Here is a close-up of the pin.

Next up you might like one of these colorful birds.  Birds seem to be the thing these days and I've made several in different colors to give your decor that added little "pop" of color.  The wings have all been painted white and then glazed with a black glaze.  If a bird is what you want as a prize, you just let me know what color.

Or you may want a shabby chic chalk board.  This is one of those old metal frames that has been painted a creamy off-white.  This can be stood up alone or put on an easel.  I made one for my niece's birthday and she loved it!

And last but not least is a shelf jewelry holder.  At least that was my intention when I made it but you are welcome to use it any way you would like. 

This has been painted white with stressed edges and brown glaze.  The knobs are all different for added interest.  I will now show close-ups of each knob.

Wow! 10 Followers

Hello Everyone!

I asked and you all answered!  I now have 10 followers so you know what that means?  Giveaway time.  I can't show you all the choices as of yet since I don't have them all done.  (Ooops) I really didn't think you all would jump on the bandwagon so soon and give me the 10 followers.  I thought I had at least a couple more days.  So, I'm going to have to just put you all off a little longer (mean, I know) and do this giveaway at the end of the week.  I have a big town day and school today, so nothing is going to get done on giveaway stuff.  However, the hubby and kids are going fishing tomorrow after work and it's supposed to be in the 70's.  Guess what I'm going to be doing?  Yep, you guessed it.  Spray painting!!  I do have two things done and I will probably have a total of at least 4 maybe 5 things.  So really truly, check back on Friday.  I will run the giveaway through the weekend and probably end it on Sunday night at midnight with the winner announced on Monday.  Man I wish I didn't have to go to town today!  I'm in the mood to paint!  So until next time...
